Industrial Personality and Fresh Ambience

The renovation of Alvim Pharmacy embraces the industrial character of exposed ceiling structures, highlighted with subtle touches of color. This design choice moves away from the traditionally austere pharmacy atmosphere, creating instead a sense of openness, lightness, and contemporary identity.

The juxtaposition of clean, minimalist shelving and raw materials, such as metal beams and concrete textures, creates a professional yet approachable atmosphere. Suspended lighting and well-organized product displays reinforce a streamlined layout, while the introduction of greenery softens the space and adds a refreshing touch.

Operational efficiency was a key focus of the intervention. A more functional sales area was defined to improve workflow and navigation for both staff and customers. The resulting space is welcoming, better structured, and visually appealing – successfully enhancing functionality and user experience.

Medd Design’s Approach

In the Alvim Pharmacy renovation, Medd Design worked to balance the raw character of industrial elements with a calm, organized layout that respects the rhythm of daily operations. Rather than imposing a decorative style, the intervention allowed the pharmacy’s architectural features to guide the design process. This sensitive approach resulted in a distinctive space that reflects both the brand’s personality and the practical needs of its team and users.
