Curves and Contrast in a Multisensory Pharmacy Experience

The renovation of Bourroches Pharmacy embraces soft, flowing curves to evoke a sense of calm and comfort from the very first step inside. Decorative and structural elements, featuring bold contrasts in form and color, come together to create a dynamic, immersive, and visually engaging space.

The new layout features a sweeping central island with rounded edges, intuitively guiding customer circulation and inviting exploration. Contrasting tones, such as deep forest green, matte black, and crisp white, define specific zones and introduce rhythm throughout the interior. Warm wood textures balance the darker hues, adding a layer of natural elegance.

A carefully considered lighting scheme combines recessed LED fixtures with directional spotlights to illuminate product categories while ensuring a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Custom-made shelving and curved counters support a more organic, intuitive, and user-friendly experience.

Medd Design: Crafting Cohesion Through Curves and Contrast

In this project, Medd Design approached Bourroches Pharmacy with a focus on harmonizing form and function. By carefully balancing bold contrasts with gentle curves, the design team created a space that not only guides customers naturally but also enhances their sensory experience.

The choice of materials, colors, and lighting was meticulously orchestrated to foster a cohesive atmosphere that feels both modern and welcoming. This thoughtful integration demonstrates Medd Design’s commitment to transforming complex layouts into intuitive, engaging environments that support both the pharmacy’s operations and its community presence.
