True to its name, Moderna Pharmacy features a thoughtfully designed layout combined with a contemporary aesthetic. This renovation introduces clean, timeless lines and a play on levels and depths that break the monotony of the space, creating compelling visual interest and a sophisticated flow.

The design concept incorporates warm wood accents, matte black finishes, and backlit shelving to add depth and elegance. Carefully designed lighting fixtures highlight product categories while enhancing the sense of openness.

The counters feature clean, linear geometry with integrated lighting, creating a cohesive yet dynamic point of interaction. A digital display reinforces the brand’s identity while serving as a versatile tool for customer engagement and service promotion. A neutral yet refined color palette ensures the environment feels both welcoming and professional.

To reinforce its modern and forward-thinking identity, Moderna Pharmacy in Ílhavo invested in cutting-edge digital solutions. A digital screen positioned behind the service counters enhances customer communication and strengthens the pharmacy’s innovative image.

Medd Design: Subtle Innovation Behind a Cohesive Space

For this project, Medd Design focused on translating Moderna Pharmacy’s forward-thinking ethos into spatial form. Rather than relying on overt statements, the design embraces subtle contrasts and refined material choices to convey modernity with warmth. Every detail, from the positioning of volumes to the layering of light, was curated to support both operational efficiency and emotional comfort. The result is a pharmacy that feels intuitive, elegant, and aligned with the expectations of today’s healthcare environments.
