Visual Segmentation and Natural Aesthetics

Project Type: Pharmacy Renovation

In the Pharmacy de l’Ornain renovation, service counters were strategically positioned at the back of the retail area to maximize product display space. Curved forms were employed to define internal circulation flows, while a carefully selected combination of materials and colors introduced clear segmentation within the display zones. This design approach allows customers to easily navigate the space, enhancing their overall shopping experience.

Drawing direct inspiration from its natural surroundings, the pharmacy, situated in a rural, woodland region, features soft earth tones, light wood finishes, and integrated indoor plants that bring an organic, inviting atmosphere to the interior.

Spatial Clarity Enhanced by Natural Elements

A distinctive wellness zone with backlit vertical panels and rounded furniture elements adds both clarity and sophistication. Additionally, a dedicated children’s area equipped with modular furniture in playful shapes and colors creates a welcoming environment for families. Feature walls with indirect lighting further elevate the sense of space and guide customer flow intuitively.

Thanks to its strong connection with the local landscape, Pharmacy de l’Ornain now serves as a visual extension of its forested environment. The use of natural materials and fluid lines reinforces a calm and open atmosphere throughout the space.

Medd Design: Enhancing Local Identity Through Architecture

In this project, Medd Design carefully balanced functionality with a strong respect for the rural context. Moreover, by combining natural materials, organic forms, and clear spatial organization, the design enhances the pharmacy’s role as both a healthcare hub and a community space.

Additionally, Medd’s approach ensures that operational needs are fully met without losing the warm and welcoming atmosphere. This atmosphere reflects the unique character of the surrounding woodland.

As a result, this thoughtful integration improves the daily experience for both patients and staff. Ultimately, Pharmacy de l’Ornain becomes a place where nature and care coexist in harmony.
