The renovation of São Gonçalo Pharmacy embraces the therapeutic power of natural elements to enhance customer comfort. A striking glass floor reveals carefully curated textures beneath the surface, establishing a visual connection with nature that helps reduce stress and promote emotional well-being.

From the entrance to the service area, the irregular shape of the ceiling creates a sense of openness and movement. This dynamic form adds comfort and rhythm to the space while reinforcing the flow of the customer journey. Flanking the main display area, wooden beams add depth, warmth, and focus, drawing attention to the product presentation zone with subtle elegance.

Together with a well-considered lighting strategy, these architectural choices foster a welcoming and intimate atmosphere.

Medd Design’s Role

The transformation of São Gonçalo Pharmacy was guided by Medd Design’s holistic approach to healthcare environments. By closely aligning spatial planning with the pharmacy’s technical needs, the team ensured a balance between aesthetics and day-to-day function. Every design element, from ceiling geometry to lighting, was developed in dialogue with the pharmacy’s identity and workflow.
