Vertical garden for clinics: find out everything!
Medical clinics are easily associated with cold, monotonous spaces, full of equipment, with little or no aesthetic or decorative concerns. But, what if we think of a clinical space with a vertical garden inside? Will this stigma change? We’ve selected some inspiring ideas to help us answer:
Vertical Garden: it's good for everyone
Visual contact withplants, whether natural or artificial, will improve the performance of your employees and increase your patients' sense of well-being. A study carried out in the United States proves that having plants in the workplace brings numerous benefits:
- Reduces stress and depressive symptoms
- Helps you complete tasks with greater concentration and efficiency
- Increases productivity between 10% and 15%
All these results were verified with natural plants and attributed not only to their visual representation, but also to the chemical reactions that their presence causes, namely the reduction of carbon dioxide and increase of oxygen.
Use plants as a decorative element
Transmit to your patients sensitivity, care and concern for detail. Plants can be the key to your clinic’s decor. With them you will be able, in a simple, economical and positive way, to create a differentiated space. Make the difference by the type of plant - color, size, smell - or by the way you present them - vertical garden, suspended, recycled materials, flower beds or pots. Give free rein to your imagination and help reinforce the image of your business.
Artificial or natural?
Artificial– Yes, the maintenance of artificial ones is simpler. They do not depend on ideal light or water conditions to be vibrant. Therefore, they can be used anywhere in your environment. However, we always advise 3 precautions: plants that are as close to reality and, ideally, without flowers; vases that fit in with the rest of the decor and add gravel or soil to the base of the plant to make it appear real.
Natural – Require specific conditions and constant dedication. The choice of species should depend on 4 factors: the environment to be decorated; sunlight; humidity and range that allows you to care for the plant with relative ease. There are plants that only need watering once a week, others that depend on direct sunlight. This choice should be left to a professional. Otherwise, you could turn the spell against the sorcerer and your poorly cared for plants convey the opposite of what you intended.
Don't forget: all these elements must take into account not only aesthetic issues, but also functional and safety issues. Try placing floor vases outside of a walkway.
With a small investment you can positively change the performance of your employees, the well-being of your patients and, consequently, the success of your clinic.
